Volunteer Opportunities

We are always thrilled to welcome enthusiastic community members to join our volunteer family! Volunteers are the heart and soul of Just Food and all of our programs.

We encourage you to first sign up to receive the Just Food newsletter which will notify you of all kinds of events and opportunities in Ottawa related to food, as well as opportunities for volunteering and employment with Just Food and our partner organizations. You can also promote your own food-related events or projects in our newsletter – get in touch with us!

You can also join the volunteer list here.  We will send regular volunteer call-outs over the year. Don’t miss out!

Every spring we look for volunteers interested in assisting with the Plant-a-Row, Donate-a-Row (PARDAR) gardens, community gardens and Community Food Forest at the Just Food Community Farm in Blackburn Hamlet.

We are also always on the look-out for folks interested in volunteering at the office! Gain experience and practice with data-management, communications, website design, and more! If you are interested in such opportunities, or would like to find out more, please contact the Community Gardening Network (CGN) Coordinator at:  communitygardening@justfood.ca
