
Seedy Saturday Ottawa is a yearly seed sale with a focus on heritage, open-pollinated seed from local growers. It also includes supportive sustainable, local businesses and groups related to local food and gardening.
This event, organized by the Jardiniers Kilborn Gardeners, in partnership with Just Food and Seeds of Diversity, will again be held at Emmanuel United Church!

Admission and parking are free.

What can I bring?
Your own reusable bags and, if you have some, your seeds for exchange.
Some vendors will accept card payments, but some might only use cash – time to break out those piggy banks!
Presentation Schedule
10:15am: Ask a question with a Master Gardener – Have a question about gardening? This Master Gardener Q&A is a great opportunity to get an answer.
11:00am: Backyard Water Management with Connor Renouf – Learn how to mitigate the impacts of heavy rainfall on your backyard!
11:45am: Hillcrest High School Garden Club – This presentation will tell the story of how this Hillcrest club was formed, what projects they do, its volunteer opportunities, and how other schools can form garden clubs. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A period. The presenters hope their audience will be inspired to start a garden at their own school.
12:30pm: Ask a question with a Master Gardener – Have a question about gardening? This Master Gardener Q&A is a great opportunity to get an answer.
1:15pm: Bird Friendly Backyards with Berit Erickson – Take this opportunity to learn how to make your backyard bird and pollinator friendly this growing season.
2:00pm: Starting Seedlings 101 and Winter Sowing Native Plants with Luc Bourgeois & Nathalie Bradbury – Learn what how to turn those seeds into strong and healthy plants, even in the winter months!
