Stop undisclosed, unregulated Genetically Modified Seeds
Join thousands of people across Turtle Island tomorrow to call the Minister of Health, Jean-Yves Duclos, at 613-995-2024 and tell him that you do not support self-regulation of genetically modified products.
Self-regulation removes government safety checks that ensure transparency and accountability from companies who make genetically modified seeds. This sets a dangerous precedent that will allow for regulations that hold companies accountable to be repealed, safety standards to be ignored, and no oversight in proper identification of genetically modified products.
Farmers and gardeners deserve to know what is in their seeds. They deserve to know that their seeds are modified and how. Consumers deserve to know any modifications of their food are known. Consumers and farmers alike have the right to make their own decisions around the use of and consumption of genetically modified products.
