Seedy Saturday Ottawa

Seedy Saturday Ottawa is a yearly seed sale with a focus on heritage, open-pollinated seed from local growers.  It also includes supportive sustainable, local businesses and groups related to local food and gardening.  

For 2026, this event is solely organized by the Jardiniers Kilborn Gardeners, in partnership with  Seeds of Diversity.

Admission and parking are free.

What can I bring?

Your own reusable bags and, if you have some, your seeds for exchange.
Some vendors will accept card payments, but some might only use cash – time to break out those piggy banks!

Seeds of Diversity

Seedy Saturday is an initiative started by Seeds of Diversity, encouraging communities to gather, celebrate and share/purchase seeds. Seedy Saturday events are registered with Seeds of Diversity, so if you are further afield than Algonquin land/Ottawa, you can find an event closer to you through their webpage.

Just Food established the Start-Up Farm Program to support new farmers in the Ottawa region. By offering access to land, shared infrastructure/equipment, and training, the program aims to enable more people in this region to start their own successful farm business.
